With riders competing both at home and abroad it was a busy weekend for Rapha Condor JLT.
Things kicked off in style on...
The Hospital (now Healthcare) Management Trust was founded in 1985 by David Lock and a group of like-minded people who believed that private medicine in opposition to the NHS should not be the only way forward. At that time, the Charitable and religious non-commercial alternatives were struggling to adapt to the clinical advancements, regulatory changes and economic pressures that increasingly affect this sector. HMT’s founders had an ideal and saw a need for a charity that would help the not-for-profit healthcare sector to survive.
Not for Profit
As a not for profit provider, we pride ourselves on the high level of holistic care in our homes and hospitals. We adapt to the continuous clinical advancements, regulatory changes and economic pressures that affect the care sector. Many small and medium health and social care providers, whether secular or religious, lack the internal resources or knowledge to address these challenges. We particularly recognise that many religious orders caring for their own members into old age face similar issues.
No Hospital Acquired MRSA
Has the Sancta Maria Hospital had any known cases of MRSA? No. There have been no known cases of MRSA at Sancta Maria Hospital. We routinely screen patients for MRSA prior to admission and follow strict hygiene procedures. The use of single or low occupancy rooms also minimises any risks.
HMT Sancta Maria works with over 100 Consultant Surgeons and clinical staff who bring with them a wealth of skill and experience. Their priority is the wellbeing of each of their patients and they ensure all treatments and procedures are thoroughly explained. Patients are encouraged to ask for more advice at any time to help them make informed decisions about their treatment.
The Healthcare Management Trust is a charity built on a defining set of principles which are at the heart of everything we do; they make us who we are and ensure that we stand apart from others within our sector.
As part of its charitable objectives, the Healthcare Management Trust is seeking to improve the care and quality of life for individuals within the healthcare areas that it operates by supporting relevant scientific and social research. HMT is working in partnership with national charities and universities to fund a growing programme of research projects, with a focus currently on dementia diagnosis, treatment and care.
